A man who mistook his gas pedal for the brake, struck several parked cars before crashing into a building in South Brunswick this morning, according to police.
Police responded to the Summerfield shopping center off Route 522 shortly before 10 a.m. for a reported car into building.
Upon arrival, police the vehicle on the sidewalk between a concrete post and a building close to Wine Gallery and Guiseppe's Pizza Restaurant.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
Initial investigation revealed, that the driver lost control after mistakenly pressing on the gas pedal instead of the brake.
No one else was injured, according to police. However, three parked cars suffered damage during the accident.
No structural damage was caused to the building.
