Police in Newark reported serious injuries in a stabbing incident in the city's North Ward overnight.
It happened just before 11:45 p.m. in the vicinity of 232 Broadway.
Police said officers found the victim bleeding heavily after suffering multiple stab wounds at that location.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital, where he remains in doctors' care.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
