Police reported nonfatal injuries in a stabbing incident in Newark's South Ward Wednesday night.
According to authorities, officers responded to reports of an assault in progress in the 90's block of Lyons Avenue shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Officers arrived ad found the victim suffering a stab injury to his face at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to Univesity Hospital for treatment while police officials requested a crime scene unit to the scene for the investigation.
The motive for the attack has not been determined and no arrests have been.
