Essex County officials are reporting fatal injuries for a man found stabbed in a section of Newark's North Ward Saturday morning.
County officials said at approximately 2:10 a.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the 90's block of Parker Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a female providing CPR to a male who was bleeding from his neck after being stabbed at that location.
Police say the unidentified man was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office arrived at the scene and investigated the motive behind the stabbing.
There were no immediate reports of arrests at this time.
