Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that injured a male on the border of the city’s West and Central wards this evening.
According to authorities, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Newark Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of South Orange Avenue and South 9th Street.
Police arrived and found the victim suffering bullet wounds at that location.
Officials said police are looking for a 2005 Infinity G35 that sped from the scene after the shooting.
The motive for the attack is under investigation. ,
