A man found suffering a severe stab injury overnight in Elizabeth has police investigating.
Poice were called to the 400 block of Elizabeth Avenue near 5th Street shortly before 10:30 p.m. to investigate reports of a person stabbed at that location.
Upon their arrival, they found a male victim suffering a stab injury to the stomach according to reports.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where his condition was reported as serious.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
There were no reports of arrests.
