Police in Elizabeth are looking into the motive behind an aggravated assault stabbing in one of the city's neighborhoods Monday night.
It happened around 9:35 p.m. in the 400 block of East Jersey Street.
Police were dispatched to the address to investigate reports of a person assaulted, and when they arrived, they found the victim suffering a stab wound to his neck.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is reportedly stable.
Police reported no arrests in the attack.
