Police investigating an incident that involved a vehicle in Newark's North Ward detained a person reportedly found sleeping inside a stolen car on Thursday.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened in the vicinity of 197 Summer Avenue at approximately 5:35 p.m. where police ran the registration and confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen.
Police investigating found an unidentified male asleep inside the car shortly before they requested a tow truck to remove vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation.
