Police in newark are investigating a reported shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of the city Saturday morning.
According to reports, police began a search for a male suspect last observed wearing a green and black jacket who first attempted to enter a bar in the vicinity of South 9th Street and 15th Avenue.
When security at the establishment stopped the unidentified male from entering, the suspect left but reportedly fired a shot at an unknown target in the vicinity of 463 15th Avenue.
Police believe that the same suspect who attempted entry into the bar is responsible for the shots-fired investigation. It is not clear if police found shell casings.
There were no injuries reported.
