Lyndhurst Man Accused of Approaching Juvenile, Engaging in Inappropriate Conversation

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of Jeffrey Holt, 31, of Lyndhurst, on charges of Luring and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. 

According to authorities, on July 29th, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lyndhurst Police Department received information that Holt had approached a juvenile in Lyndhurst, engaged the juvenile in sexually inappropriate conversation, and invited the juvenile back to his residence.  

As a result of the investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Lyndhurst Police Department, Holt was arrested and charged with one count of Luring and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.

According to authorities, Holt was released pending his first appearance at Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on August 15th at 8:30 a.m.

Acting Prosecutor Calo states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
