Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of Gobson Santa, 47, of Lodi, on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.
According to authorities, on July 20th, members of the Lodi Police Department and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit received information that Santa had been sexually assaulting a child in Lodi over several years.
As a result of the investigation, Santa was arrested on July 23rd and charged with two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, three counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Endangering The Welfare of A Child, and one count of Criminal Sexual Contact.
According to authorities, Santa was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on July 24th at 1:30 p.m.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
