A livery cab driver suffered minor injuries to the hand and face Tuesday afternoon during a violent strong armed robbery that occurred in the city's West Ward.
Police responded to reports of a robbery in the 100 block of Grove Terrace that took place at around 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a male victim ( later identified as a livery cab driver) suffering injury from being robbed. The victim reported that the black male suspect did not produce a weapon during the robbery.
An investigation is being conducted by Newark Police.
