Firefighters extinguished fire that ignited a car in Newark's North Ward this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, firefighters were called to the area of Mount Prospect Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue after a car reportedly struck a pole causing live wires to fall on the vehicle, setting it ablaze.
Firefighters were able to swiftly extinguish the blaze with no injuries reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
