Good morning, New Jersey!
We are waking up to a warmer start across Newark and the North Jersey region on this Tuesday morning as thousands of students across the state head back to the classroom for the first day of school.

It is currently 69 degrees in Downtown Newark, and while conditions remain comfortable early this morning, humidity will gradually creep up today, making it feel noticeably warmer than the past couple of days.
For the kids heading to school, though, it should be a beautiful morning at the bus stop and on the walk to class.
Temperatures vary considerably around the state early today, with Montville at 57 degrees, Kearny at 62, Toms River at 63, Rutherford at 60 and Cape May around 59 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, Newark can expect plenty of sunshine today with a high near 83 degrees and northwest winds of 3 to 7 mph.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 66 degrees and light southwest winds.
Enjoy your Tuesday, New Jersey, and a very happy first day of school to all the students, teachers, administrators and families beginning another school year!
