Linden Man Charged with Attempted Murder at Woodbridge Hotel

Middlesex County officials announced attempted murder following a non-fatal shooting at a local hotel.

Police say at approximately 2:37 A.M., authorities responded to the Delta Suites hotel in the Iselin section of Woodbridge following the report of a shooting.

According to police, at nearby hospitals, officers located four males– ages 20, 22, 23, and 25 – who were seeking treatment for apparent gunshot wounds.

An investigation by Detective Thomas Ratajczak of the Woodbridge Police Department, Detective Ryan Tighe of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, determined Antoine Morgan, 25; Gasim Kromah, 26; Khalil Burns, 27; and Isaiah Gregory, 22, all of Linden, attended a party at a hotel room where the non-fatal shooting of the four males took place.

Morgan, Kromah, Burns, and Gregory were previously charged with weapons offenses in connection with the shooting.

Police said on Wednesday, Burns was arrested in Woodbridge by members of the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, and the Woodbridge Police Department and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The Linden Police Department also provided considerable assistance throughout the investigation.

Burns is presently lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court.
