Authorities in Middlesex County are investigating a crash that caused severe injuries on a highway in North Brunswick Sunday.
According to a primary investigation, the early morning collision happened around 4:22 a.m. in the 900 block of Route 1.
Police said when they arrived at the scene, they found multiple vehicles involved in a crash with injured occupants out of the cars.
At least one victim suffered ”grave” injuries while two others were transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police closed all southbound lanes on Route 1 for the crash investigation.
