Police in Old Bridge are reporting life-threatening injuries for a person struck for a vehicle at a location in the Township Wednesday night.
According to preliminary information, emergency responders rushed to the vicinity of 71 NJ-34 to investigate reports of an injured person at approximately 7:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive person lying on the ground suffering severe injuries at that location. Medical professionals did perform life-saving techniques on the victim, according to police.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and the driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
There were no other injuries reported.
