Life Threatening Injuries for Victim of Butler Fire

One person was rushed to an area hospital after a fire that ignited inside a house left them with severe burns in Butler.

Firefighters rushed to the single digit block of Bartholdi Avenue at around 11 p.m. after they received reports of a fire with possible trapped occupants.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire coming from the second-floor windows of a two-story house at that location.

Firefighters were able to knock down flames in about an hour, then perform a search of the residence where they found a seriously injured victim inside.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office arrived at the scene to assist in the investigation.
