Lawrenceville Teacher Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault Against Two Students

Lawrenceville

A 23-year-old teacher at The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville was arrested and charged this weekend with committing an act of sexual contact against two students at the school.

Police say Mr. Dominic F. Brown, a second-year fellow who taught history and coached water polo, was charged with two counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Brown is being held in the Mercer County Correction Center pending a detention hearing.

The complaint alleges that Brown entered the dorm rooms of two teenage boys early Saturday morning and inappropriately touched the victims while they were sleeping.

The victims contacted campus public safety and, subsequently, the Lawrence Township Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office were notified.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the case should contact Detective Alicia Bergondo of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit at (609) 989-6568.

Despite having been charged, all persons are presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
