A massive water main break erupted on a Paterson Street flooded out several basements and had police closing off the street.
Emergency responders and utility crews arrived on Elizabeth Street shortly before 4:30 a.m. where heavy flooding was observed coming from a gaping hole in the roadway according to city officials.
Police closed off Elizabeth Street at Main Street as utility crews capped off the break shortly before 6:30 a.m.
There was low water pressure in the area as residents experienced flooded basement and some damages.
