Police Drug, Weapons Initiative on Astor and Brunswick Streets in Newark has Multiple Suspects Arrested, Several Wanted

Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose have announced that fourteen (14) suspects from the area of Astor and Brunswick Streets in the City of Newark are facing numerous criminal charges in connection with the distribution of narcotics.

The charges are the result of a long term investigation conducted by the Essex County Prosecutor's Narcotics Task force, which consists of members of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Newark Police Department and Bloomfield Police Department.

Police said the investigation culminated this week when detectives executed a number of arrest warrants in the Astor Street and Brunswick Street areas.

‘The following were charged, arrested and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility:

1. Javaughn Q. Horton, 21, Newark, Bail $35,000 no 10%

2. Nigel Farrell, 26, East Orange, Bail $35,000 no 10%

3. Terrell Malone, 26, Newark, Bail $45,000 no 10%

4. Noel Green, 19, Newark, $40,000 no 10%

5. Alterrell White, 30, Newark, Bail $35,000 no 10%

6. James Hester, 25, Newark, Bail $50,000 no 10%

7. Radee Tutler, 32, Newark, Bail $50,000 no 10%

The following individuals were charged and remain at large:

1. Jaevon Robinson, 21, Newark, Bail $25,000 no 10%

2. Charles Hopkins, 27, Newark, Bail $50,000 no 10%

3. Aliki Webb, 33, Newark, Bail $100,000 no 10%

4. Rondre Kelly, 25, Union, $50,000 no 10%.

The following subjects were charged as a result of this operation and are currently incarcerated in the Essex County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges:

2.Drevone Anthony, 21, Newark, Bail $45,000 no 10%

3. Shukar Perez, 18, Newark, Bail $50,000 no 10%
