A juvenile has died following a robbery and shooting that occurred Monday night in Lakewood, authorities confirmed.
The incident unfolded shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the Route 88 corridor.
According to preliminary information released by the Lakewood Police Department, the victim—described as being in his early teens—was approached, robbed, and shot.
Emergency responders transported the juvenile to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Despite life-saving efforts, police later confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators are actively searching for at least two suspects who fled the area following the shooting. 
No additional details about the suspects have been released at this time.
