Several women in Irvington Township came together for a competitive football game in their quest to tackle and bring awareness to Breast Cancer.

Ms. Yanickah Summerville and her sister took to the football field with their teams to vie for the opportunity at friendly competition and to add in the venture of bringing awareness to breast cancer.

"My son plays for the Irvington Golden Knights and my sister and I put together the game so that we can all come together for the month of October" according to Summerville.

Summerville and the ladies deemed the event "Let’s Tackle Breast Cancer" that occurred on October 14th at the Irvington High School stadium.

Summerville's Lady Knights team beat her sister's squad by a score of 14-0 with a Kipp School instructor scoring both touchdowns.

"Coach Moo and Coach Bam played a big part in planning and assisting in the event but most importantly allowing us to get tough as we battled for awareness for a cure to Cancer.

Summerville said, "Our boys, The Irvington Golden Knights Pop Warner Team, has a record of 8-0 this season, so the Lady Knights came to play with family, friends and most of all, our boys cheering us all on".
