Police in Elizabeth are on the search for a suspect who they say is responsible for an armed robbery that occurred Sunday morning in the city.
Authorities responded to the vicinity of South Broad Street and Elizabeth Avenue at approximately 9 a.m. to investigate reports of an armed robbery in progress at that location.
Units arrived at the scene found the victim who reported that a black male suspect brandished a knife and demanded personal possessions.
The suspect then fled the scene wearing a large coat immediately after the robbery according to reports.
There were no physical injuries reported. The suspect remains at-large.
