A 21-year-old Planet Wings employee was arrested after he allegedly chased a man and his nephew with a butcher knife, then assaulted the man.
According to police, the victim, a 32-year-old man, was walking near Planet Wings with his nephew just before 2:30 p.m. when he glimpsed into the establishment to see if a friend was inside.
Police say for unknown reasons, Adrian Ramos-Menendez, 21, spotted the victim and ran out of the restaurant wielding a butcher knife and began chasing the victim down Broadway.
Officials said when Ramos -Menéndez caught up to the victim, he began punching him in the head and body.
Police ultimately arrested and charged Ramos -Menéndez with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, simple assault, and criminal mischief.
Authorities are still investigating what prompted the assault.
According to officials, the victim suffered minor injuries to his face and head.
