Juveniles Among Multiple Victims Shot in Jersey City

Police officials in Jersey City are attempting to piece together the circumstances behind a shooting incident that had several victims struck by bullets at a location in the city just before midnight.

According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 167 Armstrong Avenue where first arriving police officers found as many as three victims suffering gunshot wounds at that location.

Police say a male victim suffered a bullet wound in his back and was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center and remain in critical condition.

According to police, two juveniles suffered non-life threatening injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.

There is an active search for two black males who arrived in the area armed with guns and began to fire in the direction of the victims according to reports. The suspects fled the scene at remain at-large.

The investigation into the shooting remains active and ongoing.
