Jersey City authorities are on the search for a suspect following a disturbing incident of aggravated assault and robbery that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident was reported to the police in the 100 block of Neptune Avenue just before 1 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a victim who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The assailant, yet to be identified, had robbed the victim and then proceeded to attack them with a metal object.
Following the assault, the suspect made their escape on foot, taking with them the personal possessions of the victim. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this case.
The suspect remains at large, and Jersey City Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward to aid in the investigation and ensure community safety.
