Jersey City Police Search for Suspects in Attempted Robbery

Jersey City Police are searching for two males who reportedly attempted to rob a local store.

According to police, officers responded to a 24-hour Sip Avenue store, located the corner of Summit Avenue, sometime around 5:30 a.m. for a report of an attempted robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store employees who told them that two assailants entered the store and tried to rob it but one of the employees allegedly pulled out a wooden club and struck one of the men.

Subsequently, both men fled empty-handed.

The incident remains under investigation.
