Jersey City Police are on the search for a robbery suspect who targeted a gas station in the city during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect has only been described as a black male who wore dark clothing during the robbery.
Police say the suspect arrived at the Exxon Gas Station -located at 3140 JFK Boulevard- in a vehicle and requested gas before producing a weapon then demanding cash from an employee.
The suspect reportedly stole under 50 dollars in gas and took about $65 in cash before fleeing the scene.
There were no physical injuries reported.
