Police established a perimeter in a Jersey City neighborhood where they searched for evidence and possible victims after several residents reported hearing loud popping noises this morning -Tuesday-.
The reports came in the vicinity of 9 Fairview Avenue just before 5 a.m. where police arrived and began searching the area for shell casings.
According to preliminary reports, witnesses say a vehicle occupied by suspects pulled up to a person who was on a bike and began firing shots at the bicyclist.
Police recovered just under a half dozen shell casings near 11 Fairview Avenue according to reports.
There were no injuries reported.
