Police in Jersey City are looking into the motive behind a violent stabbing that injured a person in a section of the city during the overnight hours.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to the vicinity of Martin Luther King Drive and Woodlawn Avenue to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified person suffering stab wounds in their torso at that location.
Poice say the victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and remains in an unconfirmed condition.
No arrests have been reported.
