Jersey City Police Investigates Fatal Double Stabbing

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a double stabbing that left one man dead and one woman injured.

According to Prosecutor Suarez, on Tuesday, July 5, at approximately 6:42 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to 196 Clinton Avenue on reports of an aggravated assault. 

Prosecutor Suarez said that the responding officers found a 22-year-old woman with a serious apparent stab wound. 

The woman was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center, where she remains in stable condition.

According to Prosecutor Suarez, at approximately 10 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified an injured person was located at 186 McAdoo Avenue. 

Responding officers found the lifeless body of a man – later identified as Jason Khusial, 21, of Jersey City – with multiple apparent stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:14 a.m. 

The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. 

A preliminary investigation determined Khusial had also been injured during the Clinton Avenue incident.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case.

No arrests have been made at this time.
