Police are investigating a stabbing that left a man seriously injured Wednesday evening.
Shortly before 7:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Bowers Street after receiving reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police located an adult male suffering from a stab wound to the side of his chest.
Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.
The severity of the victim’s injuries was not immediately available.
Jersey City police are leading the investigation.
No arrests have been announced, and the motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
