Jersey City Man Arrested in Connection with 2022 Hit-and-Run Incident

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit apprehended 42-year-old Mr. Brandon Espinosa of Jersey City on Wednesday, February 14, for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.Ad The incident occurred on December 6, 2022, at the intersection of Griffith Street and Sherman Avenue in Jersey City.

Espinosa faces charges of Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Collision Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Endangering an Injured Victim, both considered third-degree crimes.

He was taken into custody at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Secaucus and has been released pending his upcoming court appearance scheduled for March 7, 2024.

The arrest stems from an incident where a 36-year-old man was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.Ad The victim suffered severe injuries and required immediate medical attention at Jersey City Medical Center. Authorities later recovered the vehicle involved in the days following the accident.

While Espinosa faces serious allegations, it is important to remember that these charges are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
