Jersey City Armed Carjacking Under Investigation

Jersey City Police reportedly recovered a vehicle that was reportedly carjacked in the city overnight.

The early morning carjacking was reported in the area of Linden Avenue and Old Bergen Road where police were called to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. to investigate.

According to reports, several male suspects approached the victim who was occupying a blue Chevy Malibu and took the vehicle.

It is not clear if the suspects used a weapon during the incident. There were no serious injuries reported.

A second reported carjacking that occurred overnight had police in the 200 block of Union Street at around 2 a.m. where two black males approached the victim armed with a gun and stole a red Honda.

There were no physical injuries reported.

Police are investigating.
