One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $153,466 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Wednesday, Jan. 10 drawing.
The winning numbers were: 05, 07, 18, 23 and 27 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is South Amboy Deli & Subs, 101 N. Stevens Ave., South Amboy in Middlesex County.
Acting Executive Director John M. White said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at South Amboy Deli & Subs. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
White announced that there were 290,546 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 74 ticketholders won $325 each and 14 others won $650 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 2,468 ticketholders won $10 each and 455 others won $20 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly 4,460 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
