One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $70,950 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Thursday, Feb. 14th drawing.
The winning numbers were: 07, 10, 24, 36 and 43 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is News Corner, 400 Commons Way, Bridgewater in Somerset County.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at News Corner. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Carey announced that there were 243,190 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 32 ticketholders won $571 each and 10 others won $1,142 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,371 ticketholders won $16 each and 266 others won $32 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly 3,425 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
