One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $153,223 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Saturday, Dec. 15th drawing.
The winning numbers were: 10, 17, 35, 37 and 41 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is John Fenwick Travel Plaza, Mile 5.4 NJTP North, Penns Grove in Salem County.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at John Fenwick Travel Plaza. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Carey announced that there were 277,017 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 38 ticketholders won $650 each and 4 others won $1,300 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,330 ticketholders won $19 each and 256 others won $38 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 3,492 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
