Jefferson Township Shots Fired Under Investigation

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker, and Jefferson Township Police Chief Sean Conrad announce and confirm an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred on Seneca Trail in Jefferson Township.

According to police, on October 16, at approximately 11:08 p.m., law enforcement was dispatched to a residence located on Seneca Trail in Jefferson Township on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers observed multiple suspected gunshots to the exterior of the residence and various other objects on the property according to police.

No one was injured in the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.

The incident is being investigated by the Jefferson Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
