Irvington Township officials are inviting residents to roll up their sleeves and help beautify the community during a North Ward neighborhood cleanup scheduled for Saturday.

According to information released by Irvington Township officials and the Irvington Public Safety Department, Mayor Tony Vauss and Public Safety Director Tracy Bowers will host the community cleanup on Saturday, August 29.

The cleanup will run from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., with participants gathering near the intersection of 18th Avenue and Isabella Avenue in the township’s North Ward.

Residents are encouraged to join Public Safety personnel and other community members in cleaning neighborhood streets and surrounding areas.

Township officials said community participation will help create a cleaner and more pleasant environment for residents while bringing neighbors together to improve the area.

The North Ward cleanup is open to residents interested in lending a hand Saturday morning.
