Irvington Township Mayor Vauss to Honor Longtime Spiritual Leader with Street Naming

The Deliverance Is Coming Church (DJICC) celebrates 46 years of service to the Irvington Township and Essex County communities with a series of events held at 815 Springfield Avenue in Irvington Township. 

Officials said the membership is proud to present an excellent weekend itinerary, beginning Friday, June 3 at 7 pm for an evening service with guest speaker Evangelist Shirley Graham of Holy Temple Church of God In Christ in South Toms River. 

Celebration

According to church officials, on Saturday, June 4, there will be a Street Renaming Ceremony in honor of the late, great Bishop James H. Everett II, Founder of DJICC, who served as Senior Pastor until his passing.

The event start time is noon.

“We will have greetings by The Honorable Tony Vauss, Mayor of Irvington, and salutations from Wayne L. Richardson, Commissioner President of the Essex County Board of County Commissioners and Congressman Donald Payne Jr.”. 

The weekend will culminate with a 46th Church Anniversary service on Sunday, June 5, at 10 am.

Officials say their guest speaker for Sunday is Elder Steven Sledge of The Potter’s House of Houston, TX.
