Irvington Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting

Authorities in Irvington Township are investigating a pre-dawn shooting that occurred in a residential neighborhood Thursday morning.

According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 3:10 a.m. to the area of Sheridan and Chancellor avenues following reports of gunfire. 

Upon arrival, investigators found evidence indicating a shooting had taken place.

After canvassing the neighborhood, police determined that no victims were located at the scene. 

Witnesses reported seeing two Black males with dreadlocks flee the area shortly after the shots were fired.

As of Thursday afternoon, the suspects remain at large. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
