Newark --- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that the Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating a homicide.
On Dec. 6 Keith Barnes, 42, of Irvington sustained blunt impact injuries during an altercation. Following an autopsy, his death was ruled a homicide yesterday by the Medical Examiner.
At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is active and ongoing.
