Authorities in Newark request the public’s help locating Dawud N. Hardy, 41, of Irvington, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, July 30.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that at approximately 7 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Springfield Avenue, where a woman was robbed at gunpoint by a man driving a white vehicle with tinted windows.
The suspect demanded that the woman enter his vehicle before brandishing the weapon and stealing her beige “MCM” cross-body purse, which contained $1,500.00 in cash, a credit card, an NJ driver’s license, and other personal property, Newark Police stated.
According to Newark officials, detectives investigating this incident are seeking Dawud N. Hardy for questioning. He is described as 5’9” tall and 220 pounds.
