Irvington Man Arrested After Falsely Returning More Than 17K in Abercrombie and Fitch Merchandise

An Irvington man, employee at Short Hills Mall, was arrested after fraudulently returning more than $17,000, police said.

According to police, 24-year-old Phillip D. Lee, of Irvington, made 43 fake returns between Dec. 22, 2014 and Jan. 13 of this year at Abercrombie and Fitch.

In a release, police said Lee allegedly credited the store's accounts for $17,329.83 worth of merchandise that was never returned.

Lee was arrested on Feb. 4, and since has been charged with theft, police said.

He was released pending a court appearance, police added.
