Irvington Invites Residents to Help in Painting New Mural in Front of City Hall

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss and the Irvington Municipal Council invite community members to join them in a special event to help install a mural in front of City Hall and the Irvington Police and Fire Department Headquarters.

This community event will be be held on Sunday, October 4 at 11 a.m. with a rain date on October 11.

Special guests include Pastor Jerry Smith from Transcend Worship Center, Pastor Steffie Bartley from New Hope Memorial Baptist Church and Reverend Al Sharpton who will be a Special Guest Speaker.

Reverend Sharpton will also be holding a signing for his book "Rise Up".

Any Irvington Residents wishing to volunteer to help paint should email Nicole B. Simpson at nsimpson2@irvingtonnj.org. Only the first 100 Irvington residents will be accepted to volunteer.

Social Distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks are required for all attendees.
