Just before 9 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 40 block of Park Place after multiple 911 callers reported a fire in the area.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy flames coming from a two-story wood-frame home located at 44 Park Place.

Firefighters immediately stretched multiple hose lines and launched an aggressive attack on the blaze.

As flames began extending toward a neighboring house, commanders requested a second alarm to bring additional resources to the scene.

Firefighters were able to get water on the fire quickly and successfully knocked down the bulk of the flames within approximately 30 minutes, preventing further damage to nearby structures.
