Investigation Underway Into Sexual Assault of Rutgers University Student in New Brunswick

Middlesex County law enforcement officials reported Sunday that they are investigating an alleged sexual assault that transpired in the City of New Brunswick.

According to a statement released by Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, an adult victim reported being at a party at a residence on Easton Avenue in New Brunswick Saturday evening. 

Prosecutor Ciccone said during the event, the woman told officials that an unknown male sexually assaulted her in the home. 

Rutgers University Police Chief Kenneth Cop said the woman is affiliated with the university. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing, and authorities have reported no arrests.
