Mercer County authorities announced that the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred early Friday morning in the city.
According to Trenton Police, at approximately 12:03 AM, officers responded to the area of Aspen Alley and Evans Avenue in response to a Shot Spotter activation.
Police say upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso area.
He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.
According to authorities, the victim was identified as Markell Biggs, 20, of Trenton, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing
