According to a statement released by The Atlantic County Proaecutor’s Office, following a 911 call just after 11 p.m., on Sunday, Atlantic City Police responded to the 300 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of a shooting.
Authorities say Mr. Jordan Reaves, 21, was located and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division where he died from his injuries.
“The decedent in last night’s homicide was a suspect in the shooting that occurred on the night of June 27, 2019 in Atlantic City, where two bystanders received non-life threatening wounds.
Officials say he was also previously wounded by gunfire.
The stark reality is that in most of our recent homicide cases, local law enforcement is finding itself in a race against retribution by the streets,” said Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.
This incident is an ongoing investigation between the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Atlantic City Police Department.
